11. Florida State Seminoles
Key Position Players:
TB Jermaine Thomas- Senior
WR Bert Reed- Senior
OT Andrew Datko- Senior
DE Brandon Jenkins- Junior
LB Nigel Bradham- Senior
CB Xavier Rhodes- Sophomore
Who says you need a quarterback to win? The Seminoles certainly don't. They'll miss Christian Ponder surely and now will need production from junior E.J. Manuel. The backfield has some talent with backs Lonnie Pryor and senior Jermaine Thomas. Wide out Bert Reed is the offensive star for Florida State. He'll help Manuel develop. Slowly perhaps but surely. The O-Line took a hit when guard Rodney Hudson left for the NFL. Tackle Andrew Datko can shut down pass rushers and Bryan Stork will have to replace Hudson. Jimbo Fisher's defense has a lot of underrated talent. Defensive ends Brandon Jenkins and Bjoern Werner will make moves on the outside. In the middle Anthony McCloud stuffs up running lanes. The middle took a big hit without Mister Alexander and Kendall Smith. Though the 'Noles still have Nigel Bradham. Others must fill in the empty spots. The secondary may be the best part on the team. Cornerback Greg Reid may not be great at his position but he's a beast at special teams. The other side of secondary Xavier Rhodes won an All-ACC Selection as a freshmen last year in '10. Safety Nick Moody is a great player. The special teams is well too thanks to kicker Dustin Hopkins and punter Shawn Powell.

Heisman Hopeful: Jermaine Thomas
ACC Rank: 1st
