It was definitely a successful year for the Badegrs of Wisconsin. They will return backs Montee Ball and James White two speedy guys. They do lose power runner John Clay but the talent from Ball and White is fine. They also lose underrated quarterback Scott Tolzien and must now cope with sophomore James Budmayr. Budmayr options are more limited and Tolzien's were never great either. Senior Nick Toon is the best wide receiver in Madison. He has soft hands and has decent speed. Sophomore Kraig Appleton is his other player. Tight end Jake Byrne is experienced and smart. The offensive line took some big hits now without John Moffit and Gabe Carimi. They still have junior center Peter Konz and guard Kevin Zeitler. On defense the line lost their best player in J.J. Watt. They still return three starters including senior Louis Nzegwu. The linebacker core is very talented despite losing Blake Sorensen. Junior Mike Taylor is a beast in the middle and despite being the number two guy Chris Borland can make stops. Senior outside 'backer Kevin Claxton is the best non-returning starter. The secondary is good even without underappreciated safety Jay Valai. Cornerback senior Antonio Fenelus is the best defender and safety senior Aaron Henry is fantastic. Junior Shelton Johnson is also a great player that follows Henry. The special teams is special thanks to kicker Phillip Welch and punter Brad Nortman.

Heisman Hopeful: James White
Big Ten Rank: 3rd
